Santa Clara Water Filtration and Softening, Looked After for You
Santa Clara leans on its own groundwater, and groundwater carries minerals that settle into kettles, shower glass and water heaters. We install the right protection, then take care of it for you, so the only thing you notice is that the scale has stopped coming back.

A year with us, after the install
Most companies disappear once the equipment is in. This is what looking after it actually involves, and it is all on our calendar rather than yours.
-
Install day
A walkthrough of every valve, setting and filter, with a printed care card left in the cabinet.
-
Week two
A call to make sure everything tastes, feels and runs the way you expected, and a settings tweak if it does not.
-
Every few months
A reminder before sediment cartridges are due and a quick check that the softener has salt.
-
Month six
Carbon or drinking-water cartridges changed, by us or by you with our step-by-step note.
-
Month twelve

Why Santa Clara families choose us
The difference shows up a year after the install, when everything is still working and nobody has had to chase anyone.

-
We understand groundwater
Santa Clara draws a good share of its supply from local wells, blended with imported water, and that groundwater tends to be harder than what many neighboring cities receive. We plan for scale from the first conversation, and we measure it at your tap rather than assuming.
-
We look after what we install
Reminders before cartridges are due, salt checks, an annual visit and a phone number that reaches the people who did the work. You should never have to remember any of it yourself.
-
We protect the expensive things
Water heaters, dishwashers, espresso machines and glass shower doors suffer most from hard water. We recommend protection based on what you own, so the system earns its keep.
-
We are honest about need
If your hardness is moderate and a simpler option will do, we will tell you so warmly and clearly, even when it means a smaller sale for us.
-
We treat your home with care
Shoe covers on, floors protected, the work area left tidier than we found it, and a full explanation before we leave. Call (408) 351-7985 any time with a question afterwards.
How we work with you
Three gentle steps from first conversation to water you no longer have to think about.
-
We visit and listen
A technician comes at a time that suits you, measures hardness, chlorine or chloramine, TDS, pH and iron at your kitchen tap, and asks what bothers you most. You keep every reading, and the visit takes about forty minutes.
-
We recommend and price
You receive a written recommendation for the simplest system that solves your problem, with one price that covers equipment, installation and haul-away. If there are two good options, we explain both without pressure.
-
We install, then look after it
Most installs take two to four hours. We test the water again before leaving, walk you through everything, and add your system to our care calendar so reminders and visits simply arrive.
Santa Clara and the neighborhoods around it
We schedule visits by neighborhood along El Camino Real, Lawrence and San Tomas Expressways and the 101 corridor, which keeps arrival windows comfortably short.
Planned around your day
Appointments come in two-hour windows, and we send a message when your technician is on the way, so you are not waiting in all morning.
Grouped by neighborhood
When we are already working near Rivermark or the Old Quad, nearby appointments become easier to offer, often within a few days.

If your question is not here, we would be happy to answer it on (408) 351-7985.
Why is my Santa Clara water hard?
Santa Clara relies on local groundwater for a significant part of its supply, blended with water imported from regional wholesalers. Water that has spent time underground picks up calcium and magnesium, and those minerals are what leave scale. How hard your tap runs depends on the blend reaching your neighborhood, which is why we measure it at your home.
What does hard water actually damage?
Mostly the things that heat water. Scale settles in tank water heaters and coats the heat exchangers of tankless units, and it builds up in dishwashers, coffee makers and kettles. It also leaves white film on glass shower doors and fixtures, which is often the first thing people notice.
Do I need a softener, a filter or both?
A softener removes hardness minerals to stop scale. A filter removes chlorine or chloramine, taste and odor. Many Santa Clara homes benefit from a softener first, and some add a drinking-water filter at the kitchen sink. We will recommend what your readings and your household actually need.
What does your care plan include?
Reminders before cartridges are due, salt checks, filter changes on schedule and an annual visit where we retake your readings and inspect the system. You can have us do everything, or we can send step-by-step notes if you prefer to change cartridges yourself.
How much does a softener cost?
It depends on your hardness, your household and the space available. After a visit you receive one written price covering equipment, installation and haul-away, along with what ongoing care costs, so there are no surprises later.
Will softened water taste salty?
A properly sized and programmed softener adds very little sodium, and most people cannot taste it at all. If you would like sodium-free drinking water, a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink takes care of that.
Can you work in a condo or townhome?
Yes. Many South Bay condos and townhomes have tight utility spaces and association rules. We look at both during our visit and recommend compact equipment that fits comfortably.
How long does installation take?
Under-sink systems usually take one to two hours, and whole-house softeners or filters usually take two to four. Your water is back on before we leave, and we test it again at the tap.
Do you look after systems you did not install?
Gladly. We service most major brands, change cartridges, rebuild valves and add existing systems to our care calendar. If a system is beyond repair, we will explain why and what a sensible replacement would be.
What if something stops working between visits?
Call (408) 351-7985 and you will reach the team that installed it. Most issues can be diagnosed on the phone and resolved in one visit.
Living with Santa Clara water
Santa Clara's water is carefully treated and safe to drink. What households here notice is something gentler but persistent: the kettle that needs descaling every few weeks, the shower glass that never quite looks clean, the tankless water heater that starts throwing error codes a few years in, and the coffee that tastes a little flat.
Those are all signs of minerals in the water, and they tend to be more noticeable in cities that rely on groundwater. The good news is that they are entirely manageable. The right system, sized to your home and then looked after properly, makes the problem quietly disappear, and the care is the part we are proudest of.

A local team that stays in touch
Santa Clara Water Filtration installs and looks after water treatment for homes and businesses across Santa Clara and the South Bay.
We believe a water system should feel like something you hired a trusted person to handle, not something you bought and then forgot about. That belief shapes every visit, every reminder and every phone call.
